1st Field Test

In late November 2021, 12 teams participated in the first field test of the Space Resources Challenge. 

Over an area of 25000 m² several hundred boulder analogues where placed to create a maze for the competitors rovers, walking robots and drones to map and clear. At the end of the maze was the region of interest, containing samples of scientific interest. Teams where asked to Map this area; the location of the resources and to identify the resources choosing any methods they wish. 

Over 6 days, 2 teams attempted the challenge each day. Below are some impressions of their time competing.
